About Us
VISION: What does the CCA want to achieve?
To be a good photographer and a value-based leader with a set of skills (creativity, presentation, mentoring) that will stand them in good stead in their future undertakings.
MISSION: What does the CCA set out to do?
To provide students with exposure to the various elements involved in photography. With this exposure, students are equipped with technical skills and empowered to make a positive contribution through their photography skills in documenting and archiving school events. Students shall learn to use digital SLR and mobile phones to capture creative and precious moments.
LEARNING OUTCOMES: By the time the students leave the CCA, what characteristics do they exhibit?

To be exposed to various elements of photography skills, both composition and technical aspects through various workshops and professional photographers from the industry to share their knowledge.

To experience and apply their knowledge in photography to document and archive events holistically.

To express their ideas and showcase their talents through photo-taking.
LEARNING INDICATORS: How do we know our students have learnt?

To be equipped with composition skills, such as rule-of-thirds, leading lines, symmetry, that is essential for a good photo.

To be equipped with technical skills and camera terminologies and their functions, such as ISO, shutter speed, aperture, and to be able to identify the parts of a digital DSLR camera and be able to operate a digital SLR.

To be able to express the meaning of their photos through meaningful captions that tell a story, and to present to members their works.
CCA-specific skills they can perform

Understand intellectual property and make proper judgements to use their pictures ethically. Discern the quality of each picture and be able to differentiate them.

Write appropriate descriptive captions to accompany their photos when sharing them on social media. Present their creative work at inter-school or national competitions.

Create and maintain an online portfolio of their photos which boasts of a myriad of different creative pursuits.

Become mentors to groom the new generation of Secondary Three Leaders and members of other CCA groups.
CCA-specific knowledge they will acquire

Gain an understanding of their duties in the photography club. Gain personal mastery over their commitment in the CCA. Become fully acquainted with the other members of the CCA.

Develop a keen sense of perspective-taking when framing their shots. Be ready to be deployed to take pictures at school events.

Fully understand and share their visions of the club with their peers.

Organize and conduct student-led instruction/workshops for their peers.
