With its aim of developing and nurturing students’ appreciation of Visual Arts, the Art and Innovation Club provide students with many opportunities to showcase their work through workshops, art exhibitions, competitions and community involvement programmes.
The program aims to develop members’ aesthetic abilities, thinking skills and leadership qualities. Communication, Collaboration and Information skills are taught through sharing and collaboration. Through these platforms, the club is determined to enrich students with the love for the Visual Arts and prepare them for the workforce.
Members can look forward to facilitating art-related activities and working on projects that will be displayed in the school as well as at other external venues. Students demonstrated their painting skills by organizing and showcasing their paintings through art exhibitions inspired by prominent art movements.
In addition to its participation in numerous school events, such as the Teachers’ Day Celebrations, ‘Handmade with love- A Gift from the Heart’ project, our Art Ambassadors continued to sell handmade products so as to raise funds for the needy. All proceeds were donated to the Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund.
